We have developed a new illumination device which we named "Air-Terasu". The word "terasu" (照らす) is a japanese verb meaning "to illuminate", but also "to irradiate".

"Air-Terasu" is the world's first illumination device which uses Ituski's original (patent pending) technology.

It is a magical light which can sterilize the entire space with "visible light" that is gentle on the surface of your items and gentle to your skin.

In just one light, we have combined a powerful sterilizing and deodorizing effect, functions usually built into air purifiers, with a beautiful illumination.

This product is a result of research of Stefano, who came to Japan as a researcher from Italy 13 years ago, and Peter, a research engineer from Slovakia, who came to Japan 20 years ago. Stefano’s motivation to create Airterasu was: "I want to create a space where I can live with peace of mind with my family and loved ones. We hope that as many people as possible can experience the appeal of this product."

The strongest point of Airterasu

The strongest feature of Air-Terasu is that the light is gentle to the body and to the entire space it illuminates, yet it can sterilize and thereby deodorize that space. Air-Terasu sterilizes microorganisms floating in the air, or living on surfaces.

Why is Air-Terasu capable of sterilizing with light that is gentle on the body, even though conventional sterilizers contain UV that is harmful to the body? The reason is hidden in "PBL", a unique (patent pending) technology developed by Itsuki Research.

What is PurpleBlue?

PurpleBlueTM is a patent-pending optical technology developed by Itsuki Research. Unlike the conventional technology that uses means harmful to the body such as UV light and bleach, "PBL" is a body-friendly visible light with sterilizing function, producing high quality white light illumination (CRI95+). It is the world's first technology that does not affect the color rendering quality of white light and enables sterilization.

Why can we say that our light is kind to the body?

Briefly, PurpleBlueTM emits only visible wavelengths (about 400 nm to 800 nm).

Visible light is generally safe, and our light is safer than common white light products. We have achieved this by finding a special recipe, where visible light frequencies are adjusted to minimize known negative effects of visible light, and at the same time, to maximize the sterilization power and the color reproduction quality for human eyes.
